Recently while chatting with my friend about power supply, he told me his monthly electricity bill. The figure was like 10 times more than what I pay on a monthly basis in my apartment, and that was really shocking to me.
When I pay my bills, I’ve always thought it should be lower than that. It has never occurred to me that some people pay a lot. That was when it hit me.
There are liberties we all enjoy that don’t really mean much to us anymore because they come to us easily or without much effort.
We might say to ourselves, “but I worked for it”. But people have put in same amount of effort without getting any result.
So, for every single thing you have access to — a faithful spouse, good job, constant electricity — don’t take it for granted.
