Childhood is such an incredible phase of life.
Many people would pay anything to become a child again because that life generally comes with less stress and lots of freebies. Ha, the things we got for free as kids. Sweet memories.
Speaking of gifts, someone recently asked about gift ideas for kids on Twitter. At first, the question seemed unnecessary to me. Everybody knows what kids like, right? But then, after thinking about it for a few minutes, I realized it was a very valid question because I couldn’t even come up with two gift ideas myself.
Who knows how many other people are out there racking their brains about the perfect gift for kids. Remembering Davido’s wise words that we rise by lifting others, I decided to put all the suggestions in one place for anybody that might find them helpful.
The response to the tweet was quite a lot, so I decided to dig through the replies to see what ideas people might share. Of course, some people tried to be funny with ridiculous suggestions like facemasks and gallons of petrol.
Really? Facemasks?!
Fortunately, I found some good suggestions and have organized them into groups.
Educational: These gift items will help kids learn and develop their creative side. Consider laptops, notebooks, storytelling, and wall charts if you are shopping for gifts in this category.
Recreational: All work and no fun makes Jack a dull boy. Kids will scream for joy when they get anything that’s fun. Think Toys like dolls, cars and guns, Colouring kits (crayons, pen, book, canvas), Rubik cubes, Scrabble, and a Swimming kit.
Fashion: Consider getting items that will make them look and feel good. Things like Customized coloured socks and Kids’ perfume will be great.
Utility: Mothers will especially be very grateful for this. Items that fall in this category always come in handy. Consider Backpacks, Water bottles, Lunchboxes, and Customized school bags.
